Celeste Macias

Celeste Macias

Board Member - Secretary

My name is Celeste Macias and I have lived in Corona for over 20 years. I am a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Corona and have been attending church there since my family moved to Corona in the mid-90s.  I attended Norco and RCC community colleges and graduated from California Baptist University with a degree in Public Administration. I am a Human Resources professional and a public servant.

I have 2 children ages 17 and 26 and have been married for 24 years. I have always been active and volunteered with my kids’ schools and sports teams, and I have been a Girl Scout troop leader for about 10 years. I am very passionate about empowering girls and young women and helping them to grow and succeed. I enjoy spending time with my family, going on road trips, and crafting.

I grew up very poor and never had much, but even with the little we had, I always wanted to help people. I have vivid memories as a child putting together boxes of food and blankets to take to the unhoused that lived under the freeway near my home. I was always very active in my church and as a Girl Scout myself, learned at a young age that I loved acts of service. I firmly believe in the golden rule- treat people how you want to be treated- and try to apply that in my daily life. I hope that by spreading kindness and empathy I can effect change and help to make this world a better place. Service to my community is how I put my faith into action.

I have been volunteering with AOC for some time and I am very excited to be part of the Board!
