Angie Andrus has been a Corona resident for over 30 years alongside her husband and two adult children, and their pets.
Professionally, Angie is a Professor of Sociology at Fullerton College. In addition to teaching, she is the faculty advisor of the Sociology Club and the SOBER Club, both of which provide service-centered activities to students to give back to the campus and local community. They have collected large quantities of food items for the campus food bank, donated soft socks to hospice patients, as well as collecting thousands of items for the local unhoused population through Pathways of Hope. Additionally, the clubs host yearly awareness for suicide prevention, organ donation, educating girls around the world, Drug & Alcohol Facts Week, and the Clothesline Project to raise awareness of sexual violence.
Angie also runs the Huey’s Heroes Reading Program at the Corona Animal Shelter through the Saving Huey Foundation where readers of all ages can come read to the shelter animals each week, encouraging volunteerism, and pet adoption while decreasing loneliness and anxiety of the animals.
Angie has been involved with Angels Over Cliffs for several years and is also a part of the volunteer team. She was drawn to their story and mission and knows first-hand the devastation addiction and homelessness can have on families. She has a heart for serving those in need and is proud to serve with Angela and Cliff and the amazing volunteers who help to make it all happen.
